About us

  • Takaaf is inspired by the Arabic word “Takātuf” تكاتف – which means standing shoulder to shoulder. It represents the power of solidarity and collective action in addressing global challenges. We combine years of event expertise with a commitment to the environment and a fascination with climate tech.

  • We are currently offering our services pro bono to select not-for-profit organizations as we refine our solution and expand partnerships.

    We deliver carbon neutral events that prioritize reduction, measurement and verified offsetting.

    Our work is grounded in internationally recognized standards — including the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, ISO 14068, SBTi and the principles of the Paris Agreement — to ensure integrity, transparency, and alignment with global climate goals.

  • We're developing a tool that enables event organizers and participants to support high-integrity, local carbon offset projects and help direct funding toward climate tech initiatives across the Middle East.

    We see event-based carbon offsetting as a strategic entry point into climate finance—where events not only neutralize their footprint, but also help unlock funding for the technologies accelerating regional decarbonization.
